Wind Rattling Buildings Like Bones

A start on using local scenes as resource imagery in my artwork. I decided to exchange the trees from the narrative with buildings to put my own spin on it, and literal depictions of the skeleton of orcas on one side of the high street.

Inspirations: An excerpt from a book by author TJ Klune and Angela Wakefield’s paintings of urban scenery using acrylic paint:

“She looked out the window onto the street. The wind was sharp, rattling the trees so they sounded like ancient bones. The air was cold, people pulling their coats tightly around them as they walked by on the sidewalk. I thought I saw Marty, fingers stained with oil, walking back to his auto garage, the only one in Green Creek. I wondered what it felt like to have marks on my skin that could wash away”, page 23 of Ravensong by TJ Klune.
